The Peace River K9 Search & Rescue Teams
The Peace River K9 Search and Rescue Association strives to be capable of conducting full search operations for 72 hours in all weather, low-angle wilderness and urban terrains with a competent and experienced Incident Command Staff to oversee 4-6 Operational Field teams deployed in the field for 24 hour operational periods. All Team members receive training in the following areas:
Basic Searcher Training as stipulated in ASTM F2209
NIMMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
Basic & Advanced First Aid/CPR/AED/BLS
Team Medics have National Standard EMT and ACLS
Pet First Aid/CPR/Advanced K9 Trauma
Day and Night Search Operations including Land Navigation
USNG Awareness/Advanced Land Navigation
Citizens Emergency Response Team training (CERT)
Helicopter Transport, Heli-base operations
GPS ASTM 3072 Intermediate Wilderness GPS/GNSS Use (GPS/GNSS-IIW) Endorsement

New members have a mandatory Level 1 (State level) background check before their annual application to PRSAR is accepted.
