To Request Assistance from Peace River K9 Search & Rescue
For Call Out Requests please call 941-548-7560 (this is a Voice over the Internet VOID line, no text messages please) or email [email protected] and we will return your call quickly.
FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OR EMERGENCY SERVICES:
PRSAR will respond quickly and at no cost to the requesting agency. We will request a case number and a description of the missing person, and other basic initial information to determine what resources to deploy. In most situations, PRSAR will have teams at the rally point within one hour of the initial call. Upon arrival, we ask that, if at all possible, a scent article is available and a recent photo. The PRSAR representative may have questions for the family and/or law enforcement that will help us set up the proper strategies for the particular search.
PRSAR prefers to operate under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Agencies that request service regularly. If you would like to enter into a MOU with PRSAR please fill out the form below.
FOR CIVILIANS AND FAMILIES:
FIRST-Contact Law Enforcement! Before PRSAR will assist with a missing person case, the missing person’s family must have already filed (documented) a missing person report with the law enforcement agency in the jurisdiction where the missing person was last seen.
After filing a missing person report with law enforcement, the family representative should then contact PRSAR. One of our Search Managers will ask that you collect the following information:
PRSAR’s Search Manager will then contact the Authority in Charge (AIC) or Agency Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to determine whether our team, and/or resources can be of assistance in the missing person case. PRSAR will contact the law enforcement investigator before we actively enter a missing person case. If you are unsure as to what to do to further your case, please check out our Someone is Missing page by clicking here. PRSAR only enters private searches under contract, please contact us for more information.
PRSAR considers all call outs without regard to a person’s race, age, gender, social status, religious beliefs, political party affiliation, and sexual orientation. PRSAR NEVER charges for its services.
For a Missing Persons Case submission and consideration, please call 941-548-7560 or email [email protected]. We will need the Case number, the Lead Agency and the Detective in charge of the case. All cases are reviewed by the PRSAR Board of Directors and the Search Contract signed before any assets are deployed.
