Privacy Policy
Peace River K9 Search and Rescue Association, Inc. (PRSAR). Effective September 22, 2026.
PRSAR is a Florida nonprofit, 501(c)(3), volunteer search and rescue organization. This policy explains what information we collect through prsar.org and our programs, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and anything you write when you fill out a form on our website, apply to volunteer, join the team, sign up for our newsletter, make a donation, or contact us. Information collected automatically: like most websites, our site and its service providers use cookies and similar tools to collect basic information such as pages visited, browser type, and general location.
How we use your information
We use it to respond to you; to process volunteer applications and manage membership, training, and call-outs; to send newsletters and updates you have asked for; to acknowledge donations and meet our legal and tax obligations; to understand how our website is used and improve it; and to tell people about PRSAR programs, training academies, and volunteer opportunities, including through online advertising.
Sharing with advertising partners
We may share contact information you have given us, such as your email address or phone number, with advertising partners such as Google. We do this so we can show you relevant PRSAR messages online (for example, about volunteer opportunities or upcoming training), and so we can avoid showing those messages to people who have already joined. This information is sent in a secure, encrypted form and is used by those partners only to match it to their own users. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Other sharing
We share information with service providers who help us operate, such as website hosting, email, donation processing, and analytics, and they may use it only to provide services to us. We may also share information when required by law, and, during a search operation, with the law enforcement or emergency management agency we are assisting, as needed for the mission.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. To ask us to stop using your contact information for advertising, or to update or delete your information, email [email protected] or call 941-548-7560. You can manage the ads Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security and changes
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version.
